Tour The Colony Hotel's New Cabana Bungalow
The Colony is home to fourteen stylish, multi-bedroom residences, each a bespoke sanctuary, which include Villas, Bungalows and Penthouses. Exclusively crafted for discerning guests staying a month or more during Palm Beach’s social season, these stylish homes are thoughtfully curated to reflect both elegance and individuality.
In alignment with The Colony and Cabana's dedication to exceptional craftsmanship, Society Social is proud to have contributed bench-made upholstery pieces, woven wicker accents, and custom-colored furnishings for the bungalow's living room, kitchen, dining room, den, and bedrooms. Each piece was thoughtfully designed and curated to reflect both the heritage and the unique beauty of this iconic space. The project was enhanced by the contributions of several other esteemed design partners, including Schumacher fabrics, Matouk linens, Villa Bologna Pottery lighting, and Waterworks fixtures.
"The vibrancy and stunning design language of Palm Beach has always captivated me. Its combination of glamour and sophistication, along with a visually striking color palette and elements that celebrate tropical and coastal living, perfectly align with Cabana’s core aesthetic. We've thoroughly enjoyed curating the look and feel of each room, ensuring that each space reflects a unique interpretation of the iconic Palm Beach style." - Martina Mondadori

Our Palm Beach Past and Present
In 2023, we had the incredible honor of collaborating with Owner and President, Sarah Wetenhall, of The Colony Hotel Palm Beach to design bespoke furnishings for the complete redesign of the hotel's guest rooms and suites, in celebration of their monumental 100th anniversary. Today, we are thrilled to partner with The Colony once again – this time, on their collaboration with the renowned Italian lifestyle brand, Cabana Magazine. Together, they have reimagined a bungalow adjacent to the historic property.
The Cabana Bungalow Debut
The Colony's newest bungalow, The "Cabana Bungalow," designed in partnership with Cabana's founder and editor-in-chief Martina Mondadori, and celebrated designer Ashley Hicks, stands as a stunning tribute to the legacy of iconic Italian designers, blending timeless elegance with the unparalleled artistry of craftsmanship. Each room draws inspiration from legendary interiors and decorators of the past, reimagining Palm Beach style in a distinctive, modern way.
Inside, you’ll find meticulously crafted counter stools and side tables, each handwoven by our skilled artisans, alongside beautifully upholstered sofas, headboards, and rattan furnishings. The rooms are thoughtfully layered, with a seamless flow of design and captivating details that beckon you to explore. Our expert upholsterers carefully cut and aligned Schumacher fabrics, ensuring every pattern complemented each frame and aligned perfectly with Cabana's vision of elegantly upholstered walls. Chic tortoise casegoods add a touch of sophistication, providing stylish bedside and bedroom storage. It’s all in the details—just like every bungalow, every stay at The Colony is uniquely designed to be unforgettable. Welcome in!
